Bakin’ Soda Lab Conclusion

Stoichiometry is the mathematical manipulation of a balanced chemical equation to predict the future of chemical reactions.  It’s mostly math, and lots of fun.

Chemical reactions include: Synthesis, Decomposition, Single Replacement, Double Replacement, and Combustion.

Temperature change, odor change, precipitates, irreversibility, color change and bubbles of a new gas are all indicators that a chemical reaction probably happened.

Matter cannot be created or destroyed in a chemical reaction or a physical change (phase change).

Energy cannot be created or destroyed in a chemical reaction or physical change, but it can be transferred.

Melting/freezing, condensing/vaporizing, sublimation/deposition are the 6 phase changes.

I love chem, the end.
